Our Story
Do we really need another slimming garment? Well Lee Ann Stevenson thought so. Throughout, high school, college, and her own wedding, friends, while toned and taught in other places, all seemed to have a common concern... arm bulge. "One girlfriend said she had "sausage arms", I had never heard of such a thing. When asked why she called them that she said under clothes they looked like sausage once its removed from their castings, totally lumpy and bumpy. I had to do something", says Lee Ann.
In 2006 Lee Ann sat down with a piece of paper and a pencil, and began designing a solution. A stickler for due process she spent the better half of 2 years testing, and re testing the constuction and the compression factors, to make sure her design achieved what she set out to do, without becoming uncomfortable to wear over time. After meeting a wonderful seamstress who put her ideas into form, she worked with a leading manufacturer who produced the prototype. In 2008, the line was launched.
Once the sleeves hit the market the response not only from the millions of women who had been waiting for such a product, but the media too, was overwhelming. Women across the globe were in love with Lee Ann's collection, and the orders started pouring in...despite the status of the economy. A little while later the stores came calling, and in early 2009, Lee Ann agreed to sell the Arm Shapewear Collection at Von Maur, a high end specialty retailer with 24 department stores in the midwest. Distribution continues to grow, as the collection expands to offer sexier solutions for the total body in 2010.
"In my opinion shapewear is a tool to enhance our figure, not hide it”,says Lee Ann Stevenson CEO and Creator of Très Sleek™ “Finally we live in a time where being shapely is celebrated and having curves is the must have accessory”. “With every product I create, my goal is to nip and tuck the areas that time, age, genetics, busy schedules, and pregnancy have re-designed, leaving a naturally sexy and sculpted silhouette"
